The International Journal of Geriatrics was founded in 1980, formerly known as Foreign Medical Sciences(Geriatrics). The competent authority is the Ministry of Education of China, and the organizer is Jilin University. The International Journal of Geriatrics is a national academic journal of medicine, included in the key magazine of China technology and the Source Journal of Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations. It is issued bimonthly with periodical columns: original works, reviews and academic trends.
